Petition Supporting This Marriage Amendment Proposal to US Constitution

Article [XXVII] 29
Section 1. Marriage shall be defined and restricted to those unions
establishing the decision to a legal commitment of only one man and only
one woman to live together as husband and wife. Both must be at least
eighteen years of age and be biologically from birth, he: male, and she:
female. Their decision may freely include religious, public, private, or
official ceremonies and social festivities.
Section 2. Marriage as defined shall nullify any and all same-sex
nuptial agreements.
Section 3. The retirement, insurance, estate or social security benefits
from a deceased spouse shall not be denied or abridged by the United
States or by any state on account of the surviving spouse remarriage.
Section 4. In its event, neither spouse shall be denied a divorce
subject to the laws of the Petitioners State or district of residence.
Section 5. The congress shall have the power to enforce this article by
appropriate legislation.
